Saugatuck-Douglas District Library has a growing collection of digital resources that can be accessed 24 hours a day. If you have any questions about how to use the resources listed below, please call the library at 269-857-8241.

Most of the resources listed below are available to Saugatuck-Douglas District Library patrons and require a library card. Some databases are provided by the State of Michigan library and may require a drivers license or state id. 

eBooks & eAudiobooks

Overdrive Enjoy Ebooks

OverDrive: Download books and audiobooks to your computer, tablet, smartphone or ereader (including Kindles and Nooks). Titles are available for 14 days after download. Saugatuck-Douglas patrons have access to additional titles as part of our Advantage Account.

Hoopla: Downloadable ebooks and audiobooks, including a great selection of comics and graphic novels. Once downloaded ebooks and eaudiobooks are available for 21 days. Limit of 6 downloads a month, per person. Hoopla also has full music albums available to download and streaming movies and television shows.

Downloadable Music

Freegal: Download 5 songs per week, for free. The songs are yours to keep. Use your computer or download the free app to your phone or tablet. Freegal provides access to over 9 million songs from over 28 labels, including the entire U.S. Sony music catalog.

Hoopla login

Hoopla: Stream or download movies, television and music. Music albums are available for 7 days after download. Movies & television shows are available for 72 hours. Limit of 6 downloads a month, per person. Hoopla also ebooks, comics and audiobooks for download.

Periodicals

Zinio: Read and keep digital editions of popular magazines on PCs, Macs and mobile devices.

Michigan's Electronic Library Michigan eLibrary: Access full-text periodical articles from a wide range of databases provided by the State of Michigan. You may need your library card or state id to access content. Full-text titles include newspapers, academic journals and popular magazines as well as general and subject specific reference titles. 

eReaders

In addition to the downloadable resources listed above, the library also has a collection of circulating Nook eReaders, preloaded with ebooks. Our eReader page has title lists and circulation information.
