Ancestry.com	Library Patrons can now do geneology research using the Library's subscription to Ancestry.com. Sorry, doesn't work from home.
Commercial Record	The Library, the Friends, the S-D Historical Society and the S-D School System have begun the task of making the local *Commercial Record* newspaper archive available on line. This will only work over hi-speed Internet (like at the Library) and if you are *NOT* using the PC version of the Internet Explorer® browser. Page images from 1868 into the 1950s are now available. Try it!
Electronic Library K-6	Reference source designed for younger readers (through 6th grade). Use this at our library.
Online Databases	This collection of databases covers topics ranging from agriculture to business to geography to zoology citations from popular magazines These databases are brought to you by your local member library within the Lakeland Library Cooperative and Michigan Electronic Library.
Info trac	Search several databases including Kid's Edition, General Reference Center Gold, and Health Reference Center-Academic, for topics covering current events, health, science, business, and entertainment. Each database contains full-text newspaper, magazazine, and reference book articles.
FirstSearch	A comprehensive and complete reference service with a rich collection of databases and with links to the World Wide Web, over 5.9 million online full text articles, full-image articles from nearly 3,000 electronic journals, library holdings, and interlibrary loan. It supports research in a wide range of subject areas with well-known bibliographic and full-text databases in addition to ready-reference tools such as directories, almanacs and encyclopedias.
MEL Michigan Electronic Library	MEL provides information resources for citizens of the state of Michigan. It is brought to you by public, academic, and government libraries around the state.
netLibrary	Access thousands of "eBooks" on-line. You will need a user-name and password to use netLibrary. Check with one of the Library staff for painless and free enrollment.
Michigan State Government	Information from the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of Michigan's state government.
Social Security	Go to Social Security Online to find out about Retirement, Survivors, Disability, Suplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicare.
