Butterfly Gardening and Project Monarch Watch

Join us at the Library for a presentation by Hannah Nendick-Mason. See how butterfly tagging is performed, learn about raising caterpillars, and take home milkweed seeds to begin or enhance your own butterfly habitat. Hannah Nendick-Mason is a local horticulturalist and the coordinator of the Douglas Elementary School garden. For the past two years she has participated in University of Kansas's citizen science program, Project Monarch Watch. Some of the butterflies she tagged here in Michigan were recovered in Mexico.
