Read for 30 days this summer and earn cool prizes! (Dairy Dayz ice cream cone, Pizza Hut coupon, Whitecaps tickets, Griffins tickets, and a book.) As you read, you'll earn your 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 days of reading badges that you can add to your lanyard.

Borrow a kit, try it at home, and bring it back to earn the corresponding badge and add it to your lanyard!

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Thursday, June 29, 6:30-7:30 pm
All ages
Wear your pjs and bring a favorite doll or stuffed animal for stories, songs, crafts and a bedtime snack. Leave your animal to spend the night and pick them up the next day. All participants will receive a printed picture book of their animal's adventures in the Library.

12:30pm for kids going into 3rd - 5th grade
Drew Brockington, author and illustrator of the popular CatStronauts series will be visiting to share his work and teach kids some drawing tips. These programs will be held at Douglas Elementary School.

Storytime

For kids 1-5 (siblings welcome too!)
Join us for a morning of books, music and play. Listen to stories, sing songs, and get moving with action rhymes and silly dances. Stick around for a time of open-ended play: toys, play dough, sand & water tables as well as art activities.

For kids going into 1st-5th grade
Stop by the Library anytime between 1:30pm-3:30pm for live demonstrations and hands-on science activities. Children under 6 are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Learn simple sewing skills and work on fun projects. At the last session, each kid will have a chance to use a real sewing machine!

Sew your own small quilt from start to finish. 

LEGO Lab plus Ice Cream!!
Every other Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm
June 22, July 6, 20 and August 3
All ages. In order to work with our advanced kits, children under age 7 must be accompanied by an adult.  
BUILD with LEGOs, then BUILD your own sundaes. We will have all our LEGOs available including our robotics and machine kits. Complete challenges or build and race your own vehicles. Stick around for ice cream treats.

Library Lock In
Every other Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm
June 13, 27, July 18 and August 1
For kids and teens going into 6th-8th grade

The Library closes at 6:00 and then the kids take over. We'll be eating pizza, talking about books and having fun hanging out in the Library after hours. Each week will be a different activity.
